- 東京生まれ。２歳の時に父親の転勤でロンドンへ。
９歳のときに帰国。ルックスは日本人なのに、日本語が話せず、漫画に出てくるようなことを日常茶飯事にする「変ジャパ」だった。
小学校６年生の時に父親の転勤で今度はアメリカのノースカロライナ州へ。
９月に現地の中学に入学。日本を離れることで、日本人としての自覚を持つようになる。卒業後帰国、中３に編入し、高校受験を迎える。
大学在学中からNHKの国際放送に出演。卒業後もフリーでNHK、J-WAVE、BBC、USEN等に出演、他にも翻訳、通訳、ナレーターとして活躍。

- 趣味は音楽、映画、バレエ鑑賞、読書、料理、旅行、乗馬、ツリークライミング、カヤック、スキー等、かなり多動傾向。男の子二人、猫２匹、犬一匹の母でもある。

- Born in Tokyo. Lived in London from ages 2-9. Looked Japanese but was unable to speak the language and subsequently attracted a lot of ‘strange’ looks. Moved to North Carolina where she attended a local junior high school. The only Japanese amongst a thousand or so kids, she was able to reconfirm her identity as a Japanese and learned to get along with all sorts of people.
She returned to Japan, just in time to sit for her high school entrance exams and has remained in Japan ever since. She began working as a freelancer in her third year of college and has worked on programs for NHK, J-WAVE, BBC, USEN as a presenter, translator, narrator, etc.
- Hobbies:
- She loves reading, movies, music, ballet and enjoys cooking, horseback riding, tree climbing, skiing and a bit of kayaking. She has two boys, two cats and a dog.
